At MVF, November means one thing: Sunshine Series. We packed up and hit the road for a fun two weeks of showing, where Katie Bertrando stepped back into the show ring after an 18-year hiatus.
Pepper and Katie looked like they never missed a day, earning top ribbons in the .75s and .80s, including a notable 3rd place in a competitive field of 46 riders. We look forward to watching Katie and Pepper continue to grow their partnership, both at home and in the show ring!
Check out our gallery for more Sunshine Series pictures with MVF horses and riders. We can't wait to return to the desert in the spring!
MVF's talented riders rode their way to a collection of ribbons and unforgettable memories at this year's Medal Finals.
Leslie Biederman and Coeur de Lion secured Reserve Champion in the Horse n' Hound with several polished and consistent rounds. Rachel Lee, riding Afrojack, also soared high, securing a well-deserved 3rd place finish.
Both Leslie and Rachel clinched first place in two of their over fences rounds earlier in the week, as well.
Our warmest congratulations to these exceptional horses and riders. Their results are a testament to the countless hours of preparation and training that brought them to this moment. We couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments this year.
Lynn and Sarah took off to upstate New York earlier this month to course design for the Hampton Classic Horse Show. They spent 10 days building challenging hunter and equitation courses that gave each horse and rider the opportunity to dazzle the judges.
Lynn and Sarah have been invited back to course design for the Hampton Classic in 2024. Congratulations to our MVF trainers for being selected for this prestigious event! We are glad we get to benefit from their expertise in course design in our training at home and on the road.
Afrojack and Rachel Lee clinch the win in Sonoma Horse Park's 3' Hunter Classic, and take home 3rd in the National Derby.
Coer de Lion and Leslie Biederman top the class in the 3'3"/3'6" Jr/AO Handy
The whole MVF team travelled to Desert Horse Park to watch Lynn Mullins and Leslie Biederman's Coer De Lion compete in the $65,000 Regional Championship Hunter Derby.
Lynn and Cort demonstrated a beautiful round and were cheered on by family, friends, and teammates. The derby also fell on Lynn's 60th birthday, which gave even more cause for celebration. The class was Cort's first international derby, and he handled it with class and style, shining amidst a competitive field of horses and riders.
Congratulations to this pair and thank you to Leslie Biederman for making it happen!
MVF spent 2 weeks in the desert with riders Nicole Callinan, Leslie Biederman, Rachel Lee, and Claire Bruce. All four riders enjoyed a successful two weeks earning top ribbons in their respective divisions.
From all of us at Meadow View Farms , we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. While the world is full of so much uncertainty, we are grateful that we have our incredible horses to keep us grounded until more normal days return!
It was with deep disappointment that Meadow View Farms announced the cancellation of the 2020 Meadow View Farms Charity Horse Show benefitting Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation after it became obvious that the impact COVID-19 has had on our local community would make it impossible to plan and host this event. However, we know the needs for the families supported by NNCCF are still great, so we are working together with them to come up with an alternative plan to raise funds for those families. Stay tuned!!
We can't wait to get back to horse shows, but we are grateful for all the smiles and fun we were able to have during our nine weeks at the Desert International Horse Parks inaugural winter series. It was the debut horse show for Bobby Malmrose , who took MVF's Magic for the series and came home with Mid-Circuit and Circuit Champion in his two divisions! The whole barn joined us for some fun and everyone had a great time! McKenna Owen and her 2 horses had an amazing show in their hugely competitive divisions - Espoir d'Usance RW was consistently in the ribbons in the 3' 6 Junior Hunters, and G Star RW was reserve champion in the Low Children's Jumpers and won the Classic with a blazing fast jump off! Laura-Ann Moore and Lucca moved up to the 2'9 and were in the ribbons every time - including the 2'9 USHJA hunters against all of the professionals! Grace Gerberry and Limbo de Cent were awesome in the 3' Children's Hunters and medals; consistently in the ribbons and work offs, and made the move up to the 3'3 medals which was a huge goal for Grace and Lance to reach their first week showing this year! Brogan Doolan and Greystoke worked hard and learned a lot in their first show together in the Equitation ring after "Johnny" spent his career as a jumper up until now. We love seeing their confidence and skills growing! Leslie Biederman had the privilege of leasing POTUS from JH Sporthorses for the show and they quickly formed a great partnership. They were in the ribbons in the hunters (in classes with over 65 horses!) and Amateur Equitation, and finished up 4th in the Amateur Hunter Classic! We had the typical highs and lows of a horse show but our barn family was there, cheering each other on for every class and we could not be more proud of the horsemen and friends they all are!
Congratulations to Bobby Malmrose on his two new horses purchased during the circuit! His jumper, Conquest RW , flew over from Holland and joined us for the show in the desert, and his new partner for the Equitation/Hunters, Santana , was purchased from Ighani Sporthorses with Micheal Endicott as agent. Both horses were champions in their divisions with Bobby and we are looking forward to a bright future with these fantastic horses! Also, welcome to Mia Parsons and her horse Dakota ... we look forward to working with them!

We hosted our first Back-to-School Series and both weekends were great! We offered a special Equitation Challenge each week as well as a mesh cooler to the High Point Junior, Amateur, and Trainer! Thank you to everyone who came out! Leslie Biederman and Udo had great rounds and won many classes. McKenna Owen won the Low Child/Adult, Level 2 and Level 3 Jumpers with G Star RW, and McKenna and Espoir d'Usance RW won the special Equitation Challenge both weekends. Laura-Ann and Lucca had a fabulous first show together and picked up a couple blues. Betsy Osborne made her show debut in the Walk/Trot division aboard Vienna and they won all three of their classes! Ripley Erlich joined us for the summer and showed her pony, Claim to Fame, and they had many wins as well! McKenna won the high point junior and Sarah Mullins won the high point trainer! Landess Witmer was the high point amateur winner.
After our two shows, we headed down to San Juan Capistrano to show at the Blenheim Summer Classic. McKenna had great rounds on both of her horses, and we had a great time at Disneyland! We are all excited to go to Woodside for the Silicon Valley Equestrian Festival!
MVF horses and riders had a fun and successful show at the Sacramento Spring Classic held at Rancho Murieta! It was great to have Sarah Osborne join us during her break at the Naval Academy with Vienna, and they were on fire! With a 1st, 1st & 4th, they were Champions in the Low Child/Adult Jumpers, and 4th in the Classic! McKenna Owen also had a great show... she and G Star RW won the Low Child/Adult Classic, and on Espoir d'Usance RW she was Reserve Champion in the Equitation 15-17, and was 2nd in the ASPCA Maclay. Leslie Biederman and Udo also had a great show... they were Champions in the 36-49 Adult Amateur Hunters and 4th in the Marshal & Sterling Hunter Classic! In addition to showing, Sarah and McKenna also took some time out and went to Disneyland!
